Matthew J. Youssef, Esq., a corporate and business litigation partner at Niles, Barton & Wilmer, LLP, has been selected to participate in the Greater Baltimore Committee (GBC) Next Up 2019 program. The “Next Up” Program is a unique blend of professional development, leadership training, and networking opportunities for young leaders from across the Baltimore region’s industries and sectors who have been identified as the next generation of leaders by their organizations. Individuals selected for the 2019 Next Up Program have been involved in the Baltimore community through civic engagement and volunteer leadership and achieved numerous professional accomplishments in their respective careers.

Matthew is a partner in the firm’s Corporate Department with over a decade of experience representing clients in business law and civil litigation matters. He has experience advising small companies, community associations, restaurants, technology startups, and businesses engaged in government contracting on legal issues affecting their business. He has handled a wide variety of contract negotiations, employment issues, trademark litigation, and business disputes. Matthew has been recognized for his community engagement and civic leadership for his work with Boys Hope Girls Hope of Baltimore and other Baltimore educational institutions. He was previously a leader in the Business Volunteers Maryland GIVE Young Professionals Program for several years.

The Greater Baltimore Committee’s Next Up 2019 class will open its year of leadership training, professional and personal development and networking opportunities this January. The program will cover business and government relations, philanthropy and civic engagement, and personal stories of leadership and success by some of the region’s most well-known business and civic leaders. The Next Up Program consists of 25 individuals under age 40, employees of GBC member organizations, and identified and nominated by their organization’s leadership as having the potential to be in a leadership role within the next few years.
