With a degree in architecture, Ms. Stevens focuses her legal practice in the areas of construction and surety law. Her experience includes a wide variety of construction and surety-related matters, including contract review, mechanics' liens, construction defects, delay and impact claims, I-9 immigration compliance, performance and payment bond claims, and indemnification under general agreements of indemnity.
In 2009 and 2010, Maryland Super Lawyers named Ms. Stevens as a Rising Star in the areas of construction and surety law. In 2011 and 2012, Ms. Stevens was named to the list of Super Lawyers in Maryland. She was also listed as one of Maryland's Top Fifty Women Attorneys in 2012.
Ms. Stevens is a member of the American Arbitration Association's Commercial Panel of Arbitrators and sits as an Arbitrator in both AAA and private arbitrations.
She also serves on the Niles Barton Associate Relations Committee, and is the firm's Hiring Partner.
