Justin Dunbar has over 20 years of litigation experience representing insurance companies and their insured businesses and individuals in complex commercial liability, automobile, property, premises liability, product defect, bad faith, first-party insurance investigations and subrogation claims.
As a seasoned trial lawyer, Justin has successfully obtained favorable jury verdicts, trial and appellate outcomes for his clients for more than two decades and is a panel counsel with several leading national and local insurance companies. Justin’s experience as both a plaintiff and defense attorney in private practice, in-house with a major insurance company and an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Maryland, providing legal services to many of Maryland’s business and professional occupation boards and commissions, gives his clients an extremely well-rounded perspective on their claims. Justin is well-regarded for an honest, common-sense approach.
Justin is also the Chair of the Firm’s Subrogation Practice Group specializing in large and catastrophic commercial loss matters and has recovered several million dollars for his insurance carriers against negligent parties. Additionally, Justin often serves as local counsel in national subrogation claims.
Justin is licensed to practice in all Maryland State and Federal Courts, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Justin has also been admitted pro hac vice in the District Of Columbia, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia.
