March 27, 2015Matthew Kimball Speaking at USGBC Program on Baltimore’s IgCC Green Building Mandate
Matthew L. Kimball, Chair of the Commercial Real Estate Department of Niles, Barton & Wilmer, LLP, will co-present with Stuart D. Kaplow, a Maryland green real estate attorney, at an educational program covering Baltimore’s new mandatory green building law on April 23, 2015. Two top industry experts will demystify the process and provide technical tools to comply with the new International Green Construction Code (IgCC) law effective April 1, 2015.
The new law that repeals Baltimore’s existing Green Building Standard and replaces it with the IgCC is applicable to all new construction and “all repairs, additions, or alterations to a structure and all changes of occupancy” with very few exceptions (one or two family dwellings, etc.). This session provides the perfect opportunity to understand these new requirements.
This program is intended for anyone interested in green building, but is especially designed for property owners, developers, builders and the allied professionals that support then, from architects to attorneys, that are subject to the new law as of April 1, 2015.
