January 1, 2024

Niles, Barton & Wilmer, LLP, Maryland’s oldest law firm, is proud to announce the expansion of our Worcester County office into Ocean City.  Two years after opening a small office in Ocean Pines, we are proud that there has been demand for continued growth.  David Stallings, Chair of the Estates and Trusts department, will continue to manage our Eastern Shore office, now located at 12417 Ocean Gateway, #13, Ocean City, Maryland  21842.  David focuses on estate and trust matters, corporate governance and transactions, succession strategies for closely held businesses, and fiduciary and business litigation.

Additionally, we are excited that Brian Peter “Pete” Cosby will be joining the firm’s Ocean City office as Of Counsel.  Pete has practiced law in Worcester County for over 41 years in real estate and business transactions, condominium and homeowners association law, commercial litigation, and liquor licensing.  Pete has been a member of the Town of Berlin Planning Commission for over 25 years and is past Chairman. He is also a member of the board of Directors and Executive Board of United Needs and Abilities, a non-profit corporation that provides independent housing and support services for the developmentally disabled.
