Geneau Marie Thames, Associate


Ms. Thames is a litigator at Niles, Barton & Wilmer. Geneau litigates cases in the federal and state Courts throughout the State of Maryland and the District of Columbia. She focuses her practice in professional liability, property insurance law, related first party insurance coverage matters and commercial litigation. Her experience includes first and third-party claims and fraud investigation. She also represents professionals, including attorneys, architects, engineers, contractors, insurance agents and brokers, accountants, corporate directors and officers, and real estate professionals, in malpractice and breach of fiduciary duty actions.

Ms. Thames co-chairs the firm's Women's Committee. She helped establish the firm’s Diversity Committee, and is also a member of the firm’s Hiring Committee.

Ms. Thames has been named to the Super Laywers Maryland Rising Stars list as one of the top up-and-coming attorneys in Professional Liability for 2010, 2011 and 2012.
