Ms. Olsen-Leyden is an associate in the Litigation Department at Niles, Barton & Wilmer, LLP., concentrating her practice on commercial litigation, insurance defense, and insurance coverage matters. Her expert fluency in both English and her native Spanish language serves as a tremendous asset to Ms. Olsen-Leyden’s clients and colleagues alike. She is licensed to practice in all Maryland state and federal courts.
Prior to coming to Niles, Barton, Ms. Olsen-Leyden worked as an immigration attorney, representing clients in in complex removal proceedings before the Executive Office of Immigration Review through the Department of Justice in multiple jurisdictions. She also served as a clerk for the Honorable Yolanda L. Curtin of the Circuit Court for Harford County, Maryland.
Ms. Olsen-Leyden received her J.D. from the Francis King Carey Maryland School of Law and her B.A. from Florida Gulf Coast University. Ms. Olsen-Leyden is actively involved in non-profit groups, serving as a board member for the Community Law Center, as well as a Dean for the Lawyers’ Campaign for CollegeBound. She is a member of the Judicial Committee for the Baltimore City Bar Association and is a member of the Maryland Hispanic Bar, the Maryland State Bar Association, and the Women’s Bar Association.
